Meet Thierry, our Store Manager at the Mountain Shop Aosta

Thierry has been with the Oberalp Group for seven years now and is perhaps one of the most representative and iconic profiles. Having arrived as a Sales Assistant at the Salewa Store in Aosta, Thierry quickly climbed the career ladder thanks to his proactivity and professionalism. Currently, he holds the position of Store Manager at the Mountain Shop in Aosta, plus Thierry plays a key role in introducing Oberalp's third-party brands to the Retail network, helping to create the relevant product master data.

His dedication to work is legendary. Thierry loves effort and hard work! He is always ready to face challenges with determination and dedication, always willing to help his colleagues and friends to the last, even at the cost of personal sacrifice. His selfless nature and outstanding problem-solving skills make him a person appreciated by all his colleagues. Generally, "when you have a problem and need advice, Thierry is the first person who comes to mind," say his colleagues.

Despite his many successes, Thierry remains humble and reserved about his abilities. He is known among his colleagues with whom he works closely as someone with a somewhat gruff personality but a heart of gold. His cheerful banter and joking spirit add a light touch to even the most intense moments, creating a positive and stimulating work environment for everyone.

"The most fun part of working in the store is the contact with customers," smiles Thierry, a lover of mountains and related sports. He continues, "I find joy in advising customers on the product best suited to their needs and in gathering their positive feedback on their experiences in the mountains."

What makes Thierry truly unique is his talent for creating strong and lasting bonds with everyone he meets. Being able to count on a close-knit, cohesive team with which to face daily challenges is especially important to him. His mantra "Bien faire et laisser dire" (in English "Do well and let them say") constantly guides him. His reputation as a "little hacker" testifies to his exceptional computer skills, so he has become a valuable reference among his colleagues, with his ability to always be there when needed!

Thierry attaches great importance to family, leisure and work, managing to balance all three dimensions thanks to his position in Oberalp. Passionate about ski touring, mountaineering, mountain biking and hiking, he finds pushing his own limits and experiencing the mountains his source of inspiration. He is a mountaineer with a capital "M" and especially loves the mountains in his areas. 

His sunny and expansive nature and adventurous spirit make him always ready to challenge himself and share his adventures with others. This is what he does even when he organizes convivial moments in his legendary tavern, which has now become a meeting point for friends and colleagues, where he prefers to sit in company and have a beer. Any occasion is good for a party, and those who know him cannot fail to appreciate that!
